N.I.C.E. Festival USA 201929th edition / from 17 to 24 NovemberNew York e Pelham, Philadelphia

The 29th edition of the N.I.C.E. Festival takes place in the cities of New York and Pelham (in Westchester County, New York) from 17 to 24 November, and in Philadelphia from 6 to 8 December.

As with past editions, N.I.C.E. festival USA confirms its tendency to be an on-the-go festival, which crosses big cities and outside them to arrive in small cities. This year’s selection includes 10 titles, including premieres and first works, which, with their unconstrained gaze, have brought out N.I.C.E.’s constant aim of introducing new Italian directors abroad.

It deals with brave and innovative works that convey important messages and they do so with undoubted artistic quality, reflecting the latest trends in Italian cinema.

They are films on human rights, or dramatic and social distress, on crime and corruption, but also comedies at the same time capable, with the power of irony, of illustrating the difficult problems of today’s society. In addition to the variety of genres proposed, N.I.C.E.’s constant aim is to propose characters, landscapes, choral stories and languages that, in their variety, tell stories that are distant from each other, often united by a psychological investigation that lays bare the dynamics of social relations and the critical issues of our times.
