Pietro e Alba festeggiano cinquant’anni d’amore.

Pietro and Alba are celebrating 50 years of love. Carlo, Sara and Paolo are born from their marriage, and they embarked with their spouse, children, aunts and cousins for a southern island. In that pleasant place, where Pietro and Alba spent their best time, a family on the verge of a nervous breakdown is reunited. Carlo, separated from Elettra, is oppressed by Ginevra, his new and unbearable wife; Sara, married to Diego, is trying to save a marriage that is adrift; Paolo, thrown out by his wife and despised by his son because of an affair, goes round in circles and ends up in bed with his cousin. And then there’s Riccardo, who is having a baby with Luana and begs Uncle Pietro for a (second) chance, Elettra, who is trying to deal with Ginevra’s jealousy, and Isabella, the bored wife of a husband too far, who has an affair with Paolo. The rough sea and a sudden storm prevent the ferries from leaving and force the guests to prolong their stay, cohabitation and agony. Neurotic satellites around “the bride and the groom” try to pass a night that does not and will not pass.
