Grazie all\u2019incontro con Michela, la giovane proprietaria della locanda del paese, il professore scopre che dietro questa apparente serenit\u00e0, si cela un inquietante rituale: una notte a settimana, gli abitanti si radunano per abbracciare Matteo Corbin, un adolescente capace di assorbire il dolore degli altri. Il tentativo di Sergio di salvare il giovane risveglier\u00e0 il lato pi\u00f9 oscuro di colui che tutti chiamano l’angelo di Remis.<\/p>\n

Remis is a small village nestled in a secluded valley in the mountains. Its inhabitants are all unusually happy. It seems the perfect destination for new PE teacher Sergio Rossetti, haunted by a mysterious past. Thanks to an encounter with Michela, the young owner of the village inn, the teacher discovers that behind the seeming peacefulness lies a disturbing ritual: one night a week, the villagers gather to hug Matteo Corbin, a teenager capable of absorbing the pain of others. Sergio\u2019s attempt to save the young man will awaken the dark side of the man everyone calls the Angel of Remis.<\/em><\/p>\n

Paolo Strippoli (Corato, 1993)<\/strong> \u00e8 un regista e sceneggiatore noto per il suo lavoro nel cinema di genere, soprattutto horror e thriller psicologico. Dopo aver vinto il premio Franco Solinas per il miglior soggetto, nel 2021 ha co\u2011diretto insieme a Roberto De Feo A Classic Horror Story, e ha realizzato l\u2019horror Piove (2022). Nel 2025 ha presentato fuori concorso alla Mostra di Venezia il suo film La valle dei sorrisi, confermandosi voce originale del cinema italiano di oggi.<\/p>\n

Paolo Strippoli (Corato, 1993) is an Italian film director and screenwriter known for his work in genre cinema, especially horror and psychological thrillers. After winning the Franco Solinas award for best story, in 2021 he co\u2011directed with Roberto De Feo the film A Classic Horror Story, and made the horror Flowing(2022).
