Attraversando continenti e generazioni,\u00a0Mister Wonderland\u00a0si propone di scoprire ci\u00f2 che rimane oggi dei cinema di Sylvester e delle comunit\u00e0 che vi ruotavano intorno.<\/p>\n

\u201cMister Wonderland\u201d recounts the remarkable story of Sylvester Z. Poli, a humble artisan who emigrated from Italy to America at the end of the 19th century \u2014 only to become the greatest theater impresario of his time. The film chronicles his journey from rural Tuscany to the bright lights of the Roaring Twenties, revealing how a migrant\u2019s ingenuity shaped the movie-going experience as we know it. Crossing continents and generations, \u201cMister Wonderland\u201d sets out to find what remains today of Sylvester\u2019s theaters and the communities they used to serve.<\/em><\/p>\n

Valerio Ciriaci<\/strong> \u00e8 un documentarista italiano che vive a New York. Nel 2011 si laurea in Scienze della Comunicazione all\u2019Universit\u00e0 La Sapienza per poi frequentare successivamente il corso di cinema documentario della New York Film Academy. Nel 2012 ha fondato la Awen Films con la quale produce e dirige i suoi primi corti documentari, “Melodico” e “Treasure – The Story of Marcus Hook”, entrambi selezionati in vari festival internazionali. “If Only I Were That Warrior” \u00e8 il suo secondo lungometraggio documentario.<\/p>\n

Valerio Ciriaci is a New York-based Italian documentary filmmaker. He graduated with a major in Communications at La Sapienza University in Rome, then moved to New York City in 2011 to attend the New York Film Academy\u2019s documentary conservatory program.
