Raul (Umberto Morelli) is a well-adjusted 12-year-old boy, quite mature for his age. He lives with his mother Monica (Laura Morante), whose love life is chaotic and confused. She's the lead singer in a ballroom dancing orchestra founded by her father Orfeo, Raul's grandfather. At her concerts, Raul can see her suffering over the sad end of relationships with the wrong men. He'd like to give her a hand, and that means finding the right man, who could be his music teacher Professor Medri (Antonio Catania). His awkward attempts to set up a meeting between his mother and the teacher will lead to him learning an important lesson in life.
