Libya, 1911: an Arab with western sympathies receives death threats from the Turks. Saved by the Italian troops, he marries a christian woman. This curious film by Mario Camerini, defends the Italian right to have colonies. In the thirties, Camerini was one of the most famous directors of comedies, the genre known as “white telephone” comedies.
