Nice Russia 2012

St Petersburg, March 18th-25th / Moscow, April 11th-16th

Following a cherished and well-established tradition, the festival will hold a tribute to one of the most important directors in Italy, Pupi Avati, presenting his latest Il cuore grande delle ragazze, opening the festival both in Moscow and in Saint Petersburg.
This year, Nice, in cooperation with prestigious Festival dei Popoli of Florence, will also present Hit The Road, Grandma by Duccio Chiarini, a docu-fiction presented as part of the “Venice Days” during the last Venice Film Festival and in competition at the Festival dei Popoli, winning the Audience Award for Best Film.
Another special event presented at this year’s festival and already in competition in the Italian section in Venice is the short by another director from Florence, The Cricket by Stefano Lorenzi.
In addition, Nice will present The Leopard, Luchino Visconti's masterpiece, at the Hermitage Museum: a very special event as part of the Nice Festival in Saint Petersburg.
